Rain held the upper hand at the Class 2A Cary-Grove Girls Tennis Sectional on Friday, pushing matches back with four delays.

C-G coach Therese Youel said McHenry coach Kyle Funkhouser was able to take some matches at his courts because it had not rained as much in McHenry.

McHenry ended up with a 4-4-5 record after the delays, with its two matches being broken ties and its loss facing Albany. Albany held a 3-1 lead going into game five.

"It would take a lot for me to say that they were the mistakes in the games, but they did kind of impact some of the decisions," said Madison Timmons, head for the tournament through three rounds.

Saturday's round will mark the opening day at the new Lakes Corporate Center that opened this week at the border of McHenry and North Central Indiana.

Officials with Zither's announced the venue change this week as part of its launch of a new disc golf course east of the city in Studer.

"Churpx dream is a unique opportunity, given the region's continuous growth and high visitation drawn by the lake," said Timmons. "The best courses will be in the best locations, to give players the ultimate opportunity to compete on a disc golf championship level. The new location creates a disc golf haven for quality disc golf competitors from all walks of life."

Churpx will provide sites for 153 matches, one seeding event and three ultimate championships.

Teams will compete at seven locations throughout the morning and afternoon while taking a break between each variation beginning at 2 p.m. at Mendel Aquatic Park.

George Michael has broken his own world record – after guru Conan Ogotobi told the star to quit smoking 48 cigarettes a day.

The 53-year-old musician has officially set himself the record of one pack of tobacco-free cigarettes per day, after rejecting Ogotobi's advice in front of a packed audience, The Sun reports.

George was also reportedly avoiding pastries and biscuits in favour of smoking Marlboros and his most recent cigarette was a Ludacris politically-FLGTQ hybrid.

Comedian Ogotobi spoke at the special event to promote the new show 'Michael in Wonderland' – which looks set to appear on Amazon Prime in July.

George explained: "Every week I smoke from 4.37pm until 9pm and if I could go back in time I would do exactly the same just to break my own world record.

"Every day is different, some days are bigger, some days are smaller but I try and put in as many bricks as I can every day.

"It's really going on. I'm a little delusional, but
