Adobe today announced the inaugural release of Aero Desktop, the long-awaited AR creation companion to Aero on iOS and iPadOS. Aero is available today in public beta as part of Adobe MAX 2020, where Adobe announced significant updates to its entire ecosystem of apps like Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator, and Fresco.

Easily demoed using a mobile device or real-time desktop browser, AR lets users create and edit vector graphics, illustrations, and 3D objects without the need to set up hardware or virtual reality headsets. AR editing also helps self-driving cars "see" world around them, potentially saving a driver from an accident.

First up on Aero 2.0 are easy palettes and throwable objects.

Photoshop Import and Run: Easily transfer vector graphics from Photoshop properly, since they typically come with metadata like the SLAAM or outline properties, and save your work quickly to IDE when ready to export. Sharpen Brush: Colorize radius, angle, and shape directly from a vector brush and instantly clear up the toolbar so you can devote all your compositing to the main asset without removing brushes from your palettes.
