Earlier this year, Nintendo was on the receiving end of a massive source code leak. Since then, we've heard and discovered all sorts of things about the company's older video games and hardware generations. Now, Nintendo states the extent of what they've learned about the Wii's development.

IGN got a chance to sit down for a chat with Nintendo president Satoru Iwata over software costs and cost efficiencies. We asked about the viability of their classic NES titles on mobile devices such as iPhone and Android devices. From there, he told the reporter that he wasn't able to share much of his company's internal information on metamorphosis.

"I can give you some impressions but I can't give you information as to what we've put in, how much, and how many we've added. As to whether that's a consideration to weigh in on Nintendo Switch contents, I think that will depend upon a lot of factors so will maybe not be fully reflected."

We're only two weeks away from the launch of Pokémon Go, and we bet some of these secrets have surprised even Satoru Iwata.
