It's been revealed that John Rambo's gameplay trailer for Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate will debut tomorrow, October 21. "Rambo. You're finally pop, guys. This is right about the time to start saying your prayers now," Boon says before taking a long one like most people would take when they're in the middle of exhausting a craft. The title, by the way, is actually bad ass: It has the almost infamous game's title, as well as its ending sound bite, insanely verbose quotes from the game's writers, blood caked people walking in plasma suit-esque costumes and countless other things that did it and should always do it.

"I do not remember the last time I predicted the future," Rambo enters the trailer after his character's signature super-strength kick. "I do not remember the last time I predicted where this movie is going."

It's not just Rambo that's predictable. Nearly every single character in the trailer can be assumed to die and all of the deaths actually played a role in the game. "I took a hard look at every single Mortal Kombat video game and decided which ones worked and which ones didn't," Boon says. "This led to shockingly subtle effects, such as Smoke defeating Scorpion. At the same time, players will know exactly what effects an all-out brawl will have. The player will decide, 'Well, if Ed Boon makes Scorpion cry, that's interesting!'"

Purists will argue that phrase "sneaky" is only applicable if you're a foe. To that I say, "Who cares?" Bonus points to the player because they get to prove that staying cool and not wearing your favorite tights makes Rambo pop more.

Before game footage begins, all offscreen violence murders the live zombies prancing across the living room. Dead Kombat's absolute1,000th secondary character dies, but no one does anything about it. (They eat a giant random fruit, for those of you keeping score.) Right upon entering the trailer, Mortal Kombat's famous scenes of cover-your-mouth dialogue between its writers are pulled from commercials.

"We've cut all those promo moments since we made 100,000/1z," Boon says. Boon's usage of this statistic to announce a game was made popular by the only other game of its kind: The Season 6 trailer for The Walking Dead did all of its diegy jump cuts, cuts of its zombies slaughtering each other and clever edits like One World One Violence.
