Pokemon Sword and Shield's Isle of Armor DLC arrived back in June, and now their second expansion is almost here. The Crown Tundra, the second part of Sword and Shield's Expansion Pass, releases today, October 22, introducing another wealth of new content to the games, including a new area to explore, a bunch of new and returning Pokemon to catch, and more.

This week, Pokemon -- and more specifically, Pokémon.TV at Pokemon's Twitch channel -- is getting a tune-up ahead of those new additions to the game's very wide multi-player marketplace. A representative from US-based streaming service Pokemon is asking players to keep an eye on their PokemonTV radar, as the servers will be going offline again on Friday, October 21, 9:30pm ET Japan time.

With the increased load, it should benefit some of the game's new Pokemon on the map, which are of their own species. Halloween Pokemon are greater in number, but still fairly manageable -- especially in a Group Battle. For those participating in October's Event Deck blazes, this will also recently effect Rainbow Plates -- so keep checking the site for details on when and where to get those before they print out.

For those lucky enough to stay patched up (and you shouldn't have to), now is the time to start saving up anywhere from $9.99 to $29.99, spreading out purchases across multiple platforms -- you'll want to be able to buy the game on your phone, tablet, and PC at the same time as the expansion packs, without holding up your progress. When Fall's Prescription Pulse delves deeper into gameplay, it should be available on iPhones and Android devices alike.

US-EU / Japan Details / Fantasiaau Events

The US, UK, Italy, Germany, and Japan have run local Fantasiaau events, such as the Spanish Dark Moon or Dark Luxe event in the US. The events all involve buying your price of the draw tickets in-game and waiting some in-game time until you receive a letter to claim what you paid for. We don't know yet if the Character Challenge or the Theme Park Pokédex will be participating, as some Pokemon have their own Colosseum . If you haven't gotten your tickets yet, you might want to hurry.
