LG and entertainment goliath Disney are teaming up for a three-year OLED TV deal. It will see LG provide Disney's technological storytelling arm StudioLAB with the "latest advancements in OLED technology" in order to create new experiences around the release of new Disney films.
The deal is worth between $125 million and $150 million USD per year, with up to $40 million a year available for sales in the U.S. and Canada.
The first image to be released in the deal shows the previously released Galaxy S8 smartphone snuggled between Hulk and Pinocchio in 'Pinocchio.'
The news comes as South Korea reports over half a million LG smartphones have leaked over the past nine days. According to analytics firm App Annie, the phones' numbers dwarf those of rivals Samsung, Oppo and Vivo, who have also leaked during this early part of the year, App Annie claims.
Music subscription service Spotify says that its release of Apple's new, Apple Music-powered ad-supported Prime service saw the number of songs on its platform rise 37% and purchase options seen in its "More than 30 million" lists improved by 200%.
