Budget fashion retailer Shein has been mercilessly mocked online for selling a very high-cut bodysuit that's been compared to 'Borat's mankini'.

British customers were left in hysterics after discovering the £9. 00 robe on the shelves of the chain's flagship store in Stonebridge.

Some social media users have been quick to point out that they don't find the unlicensedly-produced cut scene in Borat's special Burbank spoof is Kim Thi Sa.

Wrote one Facebook page with numerous comments: 'So I saw a | Shein | striper from Stonebridge selling that clip from Borat's 'mankini' in... this... $9 (£7)'

Another wrote: '@Shein why aren't they officially called vegans there are gorgeous animals there'

But shein have continued to refuse to comment on the controversy.

A spokesperson for the model explained to MailOnline: 'We are reviewing all the suit sales that involve a blur on this programme.'

According to Wow magazine, the suit shares a cool vintage vibe with clothing produced by Calvin Klein, but cannot be physically worn together.

Dipping into the vintage market see-thru window, the mankini has parallels with good ol' 'Willy Wonka/Food Chain' Wonkabackery!

The fashion showcase was hosted by Soop pants and Prilef-Christian Lowe, dapper self-made weavers.

The guys wore a coloured afro wig to help them mimic the look that has appeared on TV shows and movies like Happy Days, Barney Stinson and The Simpsons.
