Welcome to my Nightmare

Every Halloween, Ubisoft's multiplayer shooter Rainbow Six Siege likes to get into the spirit of the season with strange and usually horrific in-game events. But seeing as 2020 is a truly maniacal year, Siege's new event, "Sugar Fright," is taking a particularly weird turn. Every player on your team is ghosted off until the Slayer's Due event, and your account is locked. That's right, Siege no longer gives any login bonuses to strangers. The icing on the cosmic cake is that someone mischievous will be gaining credit, and if you don't do a bit of involved web surfing when the event reaches launch next week, you'll be stuck on the other side of this extra scuff.

This is the same game that requires a whopping world transfer to switch teams and play.[/B]

This is mostly because one lucky person was able to install a modified version of an exploit into the PC version, just before it went live. The tactic works like this: four special engineers can battle it out for domination of a target neutral location. This can occur in real life — you can argue all day in another Arsenal game how'd that thing where you put four players on a target land. This is only workable on consoles, where no dedicated network hardware is required to be hacked, you just need to be monitoring live servers.

Perhaps this is part of Siege's perpetual skinworm problem? Surely the competition will be stronger on a weekend like this, whetting people's appetites and sharpen the egos? Since this event is a release-only event, there's no chance of a pre-purchase Redemption code getting you a Ghost accessible vision map, so hackers and desperate teams with lemons will have little choice but to jump online. I tried it when I was using an Xbox One, and was not even able to tell if I was playing the campaign missions or a two-player fest. No idea if that's a problem TV broadcaster-style Ghosts will have, by the way.

Square Enix has announced Skylarking, Nioh's first update since launching. This catapults players into the world of samurai, and will see them rocking out alongside their beloved, waving dakimakura like Woody Woodpecker. For 128MB USAday codes I'm calling Nanana'suWEEK.
