Relax. Tesla's unlucky customers should get used to the fact that electric cars are getting very special treatment.

In the most bizarre case yet, a fire has left an electric car completely incapacitated.

The car in question, dubbed 'Firep, the Hydra,' is the result of a counterfeiting scam, as the ingenious model was fitted with extra electronics meant to give it the firefighting powers of a real fire truck.

However, due to the extra electronics, it became a combustible bomb and the entire back end of the vehicle exploded.

Firenk Motor Club, which specializes in promoting electric vehicle (EV)worship, called the fire as an 'over-priced toy' and a 'plastic toy'.
