MANY Asian computer systems firms fear the Trump administration may decide to sever ties with US firms holding over half of their revenue.

US sells computers to 170 countries. The consul-general of Singapore confirmed that information on US subsidiaries did not include Singaporean firms. Korea, Taiwan, Brunei and Malaysia all have outsourced their computer exports and export specialists agreed that Japanese and Chinese companies would be among the hardest hit if US software firms were effectively shut down.
