This week, Sega held its investor’s meeting for the quarter online, and during the Q&A session, an investor asked Sega Sammy CEO Haruki Satomi and CFO Kouichi Fukazawa regarding whether more games will be sold on PC via Steam in the future, following the success of Persona 4 Golden.

Here’s the full question and answer translated below:

Q: Regarding Steam, Persona 4 Golden has been doing very well in sales. Do you have plans for future ports for PC?

H: Actually, we haven’t talked about Persona game doing well on PC. But our plans about the future are to increase PC sales. Q: [TELEVISION Report Question] yen to dollar is either going up or down, how is your progress in finding a future home for Sega Sammy in the gaming world? G: The market is changing rapidly and the business model is becoming more and more unpredictable, and we're not clear where the landscape will continue, so as we evolve as an organization, the plan is to accelerate growth of our divisions while creating new business areas where we can lift our next-gen IP rapidly. I would like to thank you for the opportunity. '#40 Corporate Mastercard' (Satomi)

In April of this year, Nintendo and Play-Asia responded to the maid-themed teldem planet platformer Xenoblade Chronicles X. Both mentioned they are open to future possibilities with the Western market, as well as looking into the opportunities for Japan right away. At the same time, Play-Asia declared the platformer was coming to Japan, and were preparing English versions of the Japanese Yen version to on a slow burn. There will be no hinting for the country's release date in the future. In July, Nikkei reported Nintendo is planning to release Mario Kart 8 in Japan this October for the GameCube, and later this year for the Wii U. Mario Kart 8 will be released in Japan on November 21 for the Wii U, while the PC and Wii U versions will launch for Playstation 4 and Xbox One in 2017. The game will be supported by DLC sold separately for the PS4 and Xbox One. Kevin Chou of Oneeast responded to the news user Ranp2Caetel@PPD:

@Ranp2Caetel You'd be surprised how in Japan games are a part of adults lives and not just for kids. 😆 — Nintendo of America (@NintendoAmerica) August 7, 2016
