iQOO is Vivo’s sub-brand and it has already announced a handful of smartphones since its debut last year. However, smartphones may not be the only product we will be getting from the brand based on recent trademark applications. The company currently counts as Xiaomi's biggest competitor and it has announced its plans to launch the Vivo Variant One Android Another Ultra 5000 Series. Trademark filings show that the Xiaomi Vivo variant One is to come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC a GPU from QDVI7.

The reported information from UDN verbally comes from a board member of SMN India which has been monitoring the trademark filings that Vivo has been filing for. Vivo always considers itself the first choice for Xiaomi's sub-brand and at least three variants have been in the works for Android One since the beginning. Interestingly, variant One finally leaked thanks to a tipster which pointed at an upcoming mid-range smartphone codenamed Vivo One Vogue.

There is no mention of Vivo One in Qualcomm's most recent list of spring smartphones which all but confirms that this variant is coming by "late August 2017". Meanwhile, Vivo also registered several other trademarks such as Vivo QV10, Vivo QV-F51, Vivo QV-F53 and Vivo Q1. While the Q14 plan brings us one of them and QV-F56, there is no mention of an Android One variant nor do the trademarks have a pre-launch of August 2017 date for all the other trademarks listed.

We already know that Vivo Variant One Plus will feature a 5.5 inch display with Full HD resolution. It will carry a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and predominantly will feature a metal tumbled chassis with water and dust resistance.

Meanwhile, variants for Android One are expected to land in the v5.0.1-V5.0.2 update. If the latest information turns out to be accurate, Vivo Variant One will be unveiled next month and is likely to land with an identical design as the Android One variant but with a Snapdragon 865-powered chipset and a fingerprint scanner. The chances of Android One Variant One shipping with the v7.0 and v7.1 patches are expected to be marginal in the coming months, however ASP points to confirmation of that fact. For a more detailed report, be sure to give your thoughts in the comment boxes below.
