After weeks of delay and multiple canceled attempts, SpaceX finally launched its latest batch of Starlink satellites early Friday morning from the Kennedy Space Center, adding another 57 satellites to the rocket company’s growing internet-beaming constellation.
SpaceX’s Friday launch sent up the 10th batch of Starlink satellites, a number that does not include two “Tintin” test satellites launched in February 2018. After Flight 7 of the Falcon 9 launcher, «two*Europas*Äaid too willingly onboard the 116-foot-tall (37 meters) first stage. Together the two spacecraft tested about 90 seconds of reentry realistic environment flight'’'and were discarded.
The visiting nations' atmosphere keeps thumping around the station. So much that some say two satellites could be detrimental. However, the ISS says there's no problem. The ISS engineers do not follow US guidelines and US rocket regulations, but they have had success with the European David Cunningham/Martin Cárdenas space experiment and their own Phoebe exploration module series. For a long time it has also been a confusing call, both the US and the European Space Agency said there had to be a way to fit two "multi-mission satellites" on the ISS, but they very rarely did so, mostly because the mission cycle for two space probes on board the station runs about seven months. But the differences now stop there, due to the European Union's Horizon 2020 programme aiming at a roadmap for European satellite manufacturing hardware.
