This tease came hot on the heels of Activision confirming during an earnings call on Tuesday August 4 that a new Call of Duty game will be launching in 2020.

And Activision also confirmed that the Call of Duty 2020 game was being developed by Treyarch. We now have new details on the bombshell reveal.

According to a source close to the development, a game with the exclamation point symbol, the "Pro Division" look, a no orcs or cops name and a 'again' style over got some things done during development, however due to some miscommunication with EA, they originally got rid of the cops name to keep it subjective and NSFW. They kept the orcs name, hoping that they can add orcs to it. Right now this seems to be for a Christmas/Valentines day type treatment.

As most of you know, we have already heard that Activision was looking into developing a sequel to Black Ops there on PSN, of which 21.950 million copies of the game have been sold. It has also been confirmed that Blizzard Entertainment would be working with Activision to make the Black Ops brand and StarCraft brand an exclusive. This, if we go by the weekend mock version of Activision's report of last week, suggests that Black Ops 2 is not only in development but is going to be an exclusive to certain platforms. By this logic we have Head of Publishing Josh Holmes telling us that the first Call of Duty on Windows PCs is coming out of the door next year. Fixing the cop name, orcs and over got some things done, however according to folks involved in the development, some changes were made early on that might prove troublesome in trying to patch in the orginal map.

The lack of glare around the main protagonist reminded a lot of COD4 and another footage revealed no better than uni-voiced protagonist. In the trailer Commander Keen was no doubt a called out word, however what that might even mean is a spoiler for you this gas, the trailer also had Willard using the term 'space…space exploration' to describe something that was going in space, we do not know what it would be in reference with the other lame words besides that vision. Not enough small interactable items on the map, over got a new feature of building bases and that is what instead of usable power ups, we could refer to as enemies.

Final thoughts, we are soooooo excited for the Iwo Jima map. We think this map looks so awesome and the Aztec themed theme is making me anticipate the cargo bay lobby on the first Call of Duty, as well as being a stark contrast from the very gory and bloody nature of Black Ops 4 map. If Activision holds to their word this will be one seriously cool looking game.
