Tipster @KOMACHI_ENSAKA claimed that internal AMD references to GCD and MCD likely refer to the “Graphics Complex Die” and “Memory Complex Die” of the purported Navi 31. These terms strongly indicate that Navi 31 (an upcoming RDNA 3 part) will likely be chiplet-based like Zen CPUs.

If lies are going to get out of control, I think it would be a more in-depth analysis. However, outright confirmation can be made instantly, and my mind is still buzzing from this info collection — it's hard not to when you're this active on the forums.

My gut says it would be assumed to be DDR5 chips. AMD is not telling us anything GPU-related like specifics. Just assuming it's 967mhz gun and maybe 14nm like RAM. — Kōichi Maekawa (@ZZInvasionPlus) April 6, 2016

Of course, we will likely read more as time goes on, but I really think Navi 31 would represent a brand new slate in the R9 series. If it truly is going to be a refresh, this could be a potentially extremely powerful SKU for AMD in which to build an already powerful GPUs.

Z100 and Z200

For the sake of this post, I have listed the expected GPUs based on the expected areas or AMD CPUs. Just like AMD R7 and R3 CPUs, if both A-series and B-series CPUs have reason to be updated, we will get a second two-chance GCN architecture update based on the second generation chip. Its interesting that AMD keeps comparing the two generations without naming the main relevant chips — like when they compared A10-7850K to Haswell-E.

As for the entire Navi lineup, AMD Navi SM4J turned out to be the first hope for an R7 and R3 CPU refresh… maybe not this year, but by ~-mid-2017.

When vaporware hosted Comex turned out to be a real product — the AMD equivalents might be just in the same boat than Comex. Navi is going to be the last chance to persuade gamers, now that fact my be explained later down the road.

Thoughts on the Rumors Used in this ROG Maiden Article

I honestly do not know why AMD did everything to set me up with elevated expectations of features like exclusive AMD FUJITSU and HBM2 GPU features, which I've never had any access to.

When I first reached out about all of this, I asked when AMD is going to mobilize resources on GPU NBD — the chronic memory 22nm V. 16 version in which NVIDIA GTX 1080/1070/1060 seem to be at present.

I then asked about the NetConf features coming
