Asus has used CES 2021 to announce a refresher of its dual-screen laptop line with the new ZenBook Duo 14 and the Pro Duo 15. The latter 15-inch model is available starting in April, but if you want the smaller 14-inch variant you can pre-order it now with shipments beginning January 22. Pros and home users will have more in common with the screen size than the Ultrabook counterpart.

These laptops don't come with the Editors' Choice finish of the current models, which has included woodgrain accents on black and silver editions, and has orange accents on metallic edition. Instead we've got an unassuming white enclosure with brushed-metal accents, highlighting the bonds of Viking years.

The ZenBook Duo 14 will be available in three configurations for the 2018 CES market. Be that as it may, the one ASUS' should love most is the entry-level 1.8GHz model priced at $4199, which comes off as a chunky machine. The 1.8GHz Core i5 version will priced $5999, while the 6th-generation Core i7 version will go for $8249. Prices will go up because of the CPU performance on board, but remain very reasonable once you consider all the money you'll save on the regular 16GB SSD, the free 2 TB HDD, and the above quoted $790 release date for the successor should Oculus Connect end up steering future customers to you.

The ZenBook Pro Duo will follow a rough diamond rose pattern with a 1.50GHz Intel Core i7 processor, a discrete Nvidia GeForce GTX 960M graphics, 8GB RAM, 16GB SSD, free 256 GB M.2 NVMe SSD, free 14-inch IPS panel, and a 2017 release date.

While the only models to get details regarding the rest of the lineup are the ZenBook Pro family 2017, Asus' listed the ZenBook AiO, ZenBook Flip 10, ZenBook Flip 8, ZenBook Flip S, and ZenBook UX31A which are coming in May.

Best an Ultrabook? Upgrades the Base Model

Asus keeps offering an upgrade path for new ZenBook vapor/laptop values, moving up to a burst duty Core i7-8550U and Samsung 950 Pro SSDs, or a Core i5-7352U version of their hardware with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chip.

What I'll advocate digging into a bit more thoroughly is the choice about adding 4GB RAM and an Intel HD Graphics 630 to the base model then adding dedicated GPU memory for gaming, FHD recording, and does a discrete Nvidia GPU work, as a better option for gaming. All ZenBook models with dedicated GPUs come with 12 hours of battery life with a monitor at a full 60 Hz, whereas the Pro Duo 15 features
