Dean Hodgkin, 57, from Leicester, a three-time karate World Champion who has worked in the fitness industry since 1985, has created total body workouts that tackle common issues including balance, strength and co-ordination.

He has also demonstrated step-by-step guidance on using a '10-step diet plan..' for getting a decade younger.

Crossfit enthusiast Dean, who based his workouts on bodyweight training, said the 10-step plan basically involves losing weight, eating clean, exercising and integrating fun, organised activities into your day.

He said that his newfound success with svelte skin and black hair 'speaks for itself' and added that: 'For anyone with identifiable health issues and wanting to go older actually do what I do it's as simple as that.'

He explained that the five months structure is achieved through a five month 'diet/lifestyle' plan.

Among Dean's best tip: tries to get a healthy glow by exercising at least 10 minutes a day and going for long walks twice a week

In the first words of his 10 step plan, Dean explained: 'First, lose weight.'

He said that losing at least 5-10 pounds would help create a healthy glow and help put more tension into one's chest from the way your neck moves.

Dean added: ' Exercise, do as many push-ups as you can and go for high energy and vigorous walks.

'Stop smoking. Stop drinking. Stop drinking too much coffee etc. and just start drinking water. It's all just about water so try and drink every 2-3 hours.'

He advised young women to stick to weak tea but added that herbal teas and lactose free milk could also help reduce symptoms.

Dean even made sure his children's health was an important factor and chose not to give them any estrogen supplements for fear it would potentially harm them.

He said: 'How old do you want to be? A lot of kids get cancer and I didn't want them to spend their lives fighting your body doing that'.
