More Armor

Next month, PS5 owners (or anyone who managed to claw one away from scalper-bots) will be able to get the Nioh games, either standalone or as part of the Nioh Collection. While Steam users are certainly getting a… unique bonus for playing the game on their platform, it appears that PlayStation is also giving their players something cool. Members of Platinum Games' SCEA Team on reddit came across a post by Killzone/Nioh creator Guillaume de Fondaumiere where he announced the Free, Nioh Armor Sets. It's important to note that these aren't limited to just PS5 players, but were specifically noted to trickle across to all players of Nioh .

These are helmet, chest piece, leg piece, arm armor, and weapon/head gear I created for everyone using the PS5 servers for beta testing. This set contains the Armor B previews and is not locked out per platform or instance. Please try it out anyway! All players can obtain the Free Armor sets for free and possess them indefinitely! The spoilers are for veterans only. You can see them here: http://www.reddit.com/r/NoManBook/comments/12hkgp/nioh2armor_sets_screenshots_not/

While it's unclear as to how much the armor sets are worth, it's hoped that it will be much more than the dachshund trophies from other games in the series, which hold less than average value. Remember, after all, the only location playable in every debut title was Killzone: Shadow Fall.

This news is the perfect opportunity to reminisce about the original Nioh, an action dungeon crawler made to please diehards and pet reviewers that were turned off by Ninja Gaiden on PS4. It was rumored that itself would be receiving a remaster, but last summer, it was announced that the project has been put on the back burner'sand will only release when it hits PS4.

What would you have your PS5 player do if they could play Nioh on PS4 and have free armor and helmets? Would you be satisfied with either way? Let us know in the comments.

Nioh 2 game director Takeshi Miyazoe has said that there are about 40-50 hours to explore in the main Nioh campaign, adding, "We don't have anything else in our heads, in other words," explaining that he hopes the team is able to squeeze in as many seamless, action set-pieces as possible to maximize fun.
