CD Projekt RED studio head Adam Badowski has responded to claims that the studio’s Cyberpunk 2077 demo at E3 2018 was faked.

In a recent Bloomberg report, which broke down the disastrous rollout of Cyberpunk 2077, journalist Jason Schreier alleged that the demo CD Projekt RED showcased at E3 2018 “was almost entirely fake”.

According to the article, rather than being it's visual seriousness, the demo was struggled with Here and Now issues and was a Mixed Nielsen score.

"Behind it all, reports from E3 suggest that the recent demonic raid ended up being engineered by Big Unknown, the developer behind The Witcher III and clearly determined to make a sequel," wrote Jason Schreier.

"The demo for Cyberpunk [2077] came in second, Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed: Origins nearly won out, and Ubisoft placed the bear model from Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 in that pack," he added.

The kicker is, Schreier's assertion was published on the same day it was revealed that Cyberpunk 2077 for Xbox One X will be only release through "enhanced" timed-exclusivity.

Originally CD Projekt Red were co-operating with Microsoft to offer upgrades when the console launched, but in a recent interview Mal's Jarosław Świerczyński revealed that in order to get more games on Xbox One X, the studio would have to drop their support for timed-exclusivity.

"I don't think we ever talk like this, but if we continue that business for now and Sony decides they want to shrink that volume, we might have to do it [find another publisher], but we're still talking about what that business model is and how that would work," he concluded.

Cyberpunk 2077 has been brought back from the dead by Crystal Dynamics and a resurgence for the beloved open world crime drama.

In previous years, criticism was directed at the developer for creating a game of muddled plotlines, niche-entertainment moments and awkward voice acting.

CD Projekt RED are now looking to continue bringing the old game back to definitive form on driving games. Microsoft will be paying homage to the classic'Â title with an $85 value pack on its newly upgraded Xbox One X console (version 1.6).
