Despite facing severe competitions, Steam has been the biggest PC platform for gaming if you look at the number of users who actively play games every month. A latest data of Valve says that Steam had around 120 million active players every month in 2020 and that is an untouchable number even for PlayStation and Xbox. According to the report, 25 percent of those users who are detected playing online do so on Steam. Valve believed that to maintain stronger interest in gaming across all platforms, simple features like adding report functions in the Steam overlay and quick take down on videos of bugs and exploits are mandatory for platforms like Steam.

It's no surprise that industry heads want to add some extra functionality on Steam. Developer support is seeing a grim dismal trend so far, but IEA stating the "next step will be to attract paying developers" in their roadmap. Valve using Steam as example to show off how little is demanded of developers to publish games on their platform.

It might be a cool feature to provide but just as important is to keep the user intact. These games should either be free or offer discounts that are enticing. Users should be able to enjoy an awesome game, and they shouldn't be abused. Playing 10 Steam games or 20 Steam games on one account is not enough money for developers to charge you monthly, this is better to promote the product. This option could also offer a rose-wool delivery system for updated games at a discounted price.

And just like Steam has major competition from other digital monopoly machine the Xbox One's family of consoles and Playstation 4's campaign strategies, Microsoft also is looking out for its users.

Good News for Xbox fans! Xbox is making further progress on its a la carte system functionality.

To celebrate the fourth anniversary of Xbox One X, Microsoft effectively announced a cost savings and specials starting today. It's Microsoft's answer to Sony's PlayStation 4 Pro, featuring an upgraded CPU, four extrat chunks of tracking that provide a 10X faster frame rate as well as the unlocked graphics engine that used to be exclusive to Xbox.

PlayStation 4 Pro this week also expands its lineup of games, with 1080p resolution visuals added to two games: NBA 2K17 Season Passable Edition and Gears of War 4.
