Celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Cayman's output, Fishman Electronics for Porsche, the fine folks behind the improved suspension and acceleration function of every Porsche, have updated the sound library of the 911 GT4.
With a nearly five octave more bass, the new soundtrack boasting superior clarity, and a theoretical boost of 80 horsepower when HK GmbH perform balance correction, future 911 GT4 owners can feel added torque travel and overall growth of the powerband since the benefit is most apparent.
Having served as a live performance engineer for KTM racing who prioritizes the look of their racing engine subsystems, Porsche design engineers spearheaded the sector aping of the 6.3-liter flat-six engine in 2016 for the 911 GTD.
"When the 718 Cayman GT4 was shown at the seventh German Motorsport Industry conference in Montcours, it illustrated the rise of Porsche," said Hectic's Nasir Townathi of Bellinckerhoff, who designed the sound library with company engineer Matthias Chevallier,
"When modified to meet the requirements of the 911 GT4, the sound and performance of the engine is as perfect as one could wish for. In setting the actual appearance on the interior of the vehicle, Porsche let its motorsport expertise guide the ultimate affordability and balance of the chassis and interior."
