It's a big day for Halo: The Master Chief Collection, as the compilation game's newest seasonal update has arrived--and it's a big one.

The Season 5 update is out now on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, and it delivers a new battle pass-style refresh that introduces more than 100 items to unlock and collect, including the fabled GRD helmet, the Mister Chief armor, and content from the canceled Halo Online. Wanna play it all in 60fps? No problem, as this update introduces a 120fps cap to every map, mode, and playlist, effectively bringing it all both online and offline.

Alongside the end-of-summer update is the fiveth season of the Halo Championship Series. Halo: The Master Chief Collection will continue to serve as the championship series for both the live-action and animated programming, while three various online cups continue to run at all-time highs, delivering weekly prizes of in-game Gold to its top competitors.

Additionally, highlights from Season 5 reveal the complete armor sets unlocked in the base game, and a new Warzone Negative Cap ammo type that has mild damage and a Major penalty, respectively.
