Pearl Abyss has announced it will take over publishing rights for Black Desert Online in North America and Europe. This means Pearl Abyss will control publishing rights for the entire Black Desert franchise on all platforms, including current and next-gen consoles, PC and mobile devices.

Pearl Abyss also stated that an exclusive early access period will be available for those who downloaded the latest for free from the NA server as a brand newserver, starting from January 14. Those who already owned the game will continue to receive daily item and ability drops. MMOCan be redeemed that's available in the shop or dailies. Those who purchased the game from any other location will receive a refund of the purchase price.

Also for version 11.2, there is an enhancement that shows the energy usage per job for each job to avoid FPS spike issues. For equipping weapons, players can select the used energy to determine if the weapon appearely has as much energy capacity as intended. Therefore, energy consumption is more stable and players are able to make more merits per hour. Also for version 11.2, various progression group channels (details of which will be announced at a later time) have been added.

On the morning of the day of July 15, in the rural southwest corner of El Salvador, Rosario "Timochenko" Caballero posed as a volunteer and hid in a busy plaza. Quickly after 9 a.m., armed men attacked several men who had gathered in the area to enjoy the local sun. Two bullets tore through the victims' backs and killed them instantly. The men were witnesses to a nearby gang initiation and had received threats that night. While all the apparent victims were killed, only one received a bullet to the heart -- a good sign, police said. Samuel Avedissian was dragged from the plaza, dead.

Avedissian, 37, worked illegally at a garage and was an outcast. He was aware that his violent past made him a target for the toughs; his cousin's death in 2009 had given them reason to fear him. Police picked him up after finding him in a bar -- his only act of defiance. Avedissian provided information that led investigators to find another suspected gang member, Raul Bago, who was arrested. Avedissian's others died just a week after Bago's arrest. Nuevo Comunidad Lt. Antonio Escobedo, who led the investigation, said many of the fatally shot men were shot at close range while they tried to escape. At least four others were shot with smaller weapons;
