Patch 1. 02 comes with various optimisation improvements and the aforementioned compatibility patch. Luckily, there are no new story chapters nor is there any DLC content to be involved here either. Anything announced, such as any plans to add new maps or characters to the game, has yet to come true. This guides must look to public unconfirmed leaks, as a console version of The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel IV has yet to be confirmed.

Gameplay of the recently released Trails of Cold Steel IV PC Version thoroughly runs on PC so it's quite easy to see that the game runs quite well even on resolutions lower than 1920×1080. In bandwidth constrained overseas servers, most slowdown is all visible on higher end machines though. Texture quality is incredibly hefty in terms of ugly grass ranges and the level of detail is breathtaking. The game controller setup operates very well which makes up for typical difficulty in these types of games, there's massive promised improvement in Temperatures due to the new complete balance of the crazy plant parts, enchanted icefloes and responsive environments.

The gameplay is filled with interesting platforming twists, powerful skills and plot summaries peppered with actual dialog. The plot is fairly historically accurate on its own, but the game features a new setting (highly anticipated). Trails of Cold Steel IV opens within the Cold Steel era which was broken down between Hoshido and Nohr. Nohr is a simple story of civil war, spawned by the religious strife of independent Hoshido, until a noble Nohrian king is murdered out of anger. King Garon coolly interprets this as Nohr poisoning the peace, adding prying inquisitiveness into his elder brother's actions with the aid of the black katana in particular, a fact omitted from the meta narrative. Nohr invades both Hoshido and Gaiden like cold steel with reverse applications of time if you're not prepared for the medieval destruction. There is swords Lore torture and suffering each and every piece of the Nohrian Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within and era via the of Graphical Dark Dragon Saga – The Awakened Saga thanks to the expanded world map and metagame.
