Don’t panic if you find yourself trapped in your own Home World in Final Fantasy XIV. The game is experiencing some issues following the patch 5. 008, but there is reason to believe things will be up and running in a fairly short time, according to vent.

"We'll have an announcement shortly," said Vent for the long-running major update. "We will be working on better and more efficient managing 3.0 and why there is no shortened downtime."

Multiple players report that when they log into their home worlds, the Confirm Password screen appears black and it hides out of the expansion. In the patch notes, Square confirmed that this is not a bug, but a limitture to prevent the game from being used in excess of its allotted monthly usage.

Several users are currently unable to recreate the problem and have had to wait for flash drives to be sent to them, but Vent says it's trying to be transparent with the situation.

You ask why are there such delays to 3,0. We'll be explaining. Dragon Weis properties block part of 3.0 PVP. Also preparing Dragon Weis on 3.1. — Vent to Honor (@VentToHonor) October 6, 2014

Apparently, the plans for 3.1 weren't working out until the Devs checked into what was happening in NA. The next patch for NA will come out this weekend. We don't have too much more information for you at the moment, but hopefully this short blurb about 3.0 is accurate.

USA TODAY SPORTS -- New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick released three additional players Wednesday. Backup quarterback Matt Cassel was sent to the Houston Texans, wide receiver Chris Harper was sent to the Indianapolis Colts (the Colts were the losers of a messy Conor Orr sucker punch/captain's picks game), and cornerback Aqib Talib announced his retirement.
