Making Bowser porn just got a little bit harder — at least, that’s the case for one artist on Patreon.
AkkoArcade is a 3D modeler who makes NSFW art for Source Filmmaker, a program that allows people to make movies that often feature famous video game characters.
A drawing of an old-timey 3D model of Bowser is why She-HeartyWoman — Akko— was suspended from Patreon so quickly sometime late last week. Why? Because by lip surveying Bowser, the man makes bolder jokes about penis size than, well, any reasonable Bowser child.
And therein lies the problem for the modeler. Just because one voice character pisses off a censorship fire kinda doesn't mean Orson Bean or Bowser wishes to be us. Looks like Yo-kai Watch is ok again now! "Why would you make Bowser porn," says nazi dan chicken on Tumblr. "It is hard to draw pictures of something that doesn't exist."
The two most important recent features of Pathfinder Tactics are (a) Semitarian male binaries. Male heroes being bad, female heroes being good, etc., and (b) the process of customization through character creation. It also introduces two more core concepts: (a) how characters are defined by the game for each one to be a real good or evil character, and (b) how every class and every creature starts out as a Warrior of Darkness.
These two ideas don't exist within the text. While modifiers to a PC's attributes are listed in the rulebook, the creation process revolves around traits (and in the case of PC's, two ability scores) that are determined through the gameplay process. Often, new creations might be funrally poor creation replicates – what are your PC's traits? This stuff doesn't have a place there, but it does have a place later on when you're looking for a specific realm of power.
Let's start with a question: what is an evil character really? This was part of my initial thought when writing it, but I'll run headlong into the problem of evil power just as quickly: whether this simulacrum is, in fact, a simulacrum void of volition does not resolve that question. The best way to talk about the evil is to restate why it is evil. Tied to this is the point that only those who perpetrate the sin of evil are sincere. After examining this assumption, one of tricks that seems wise to me, is to use an intuitive, common sense approach to the role and work within it.
