Over four years after release, Square Enix is finally sorting out its shoddy PC port for Nier: Automata. The incredibly vague announcement was made over on Nier's Twitter account, which says that the upgrade patch is "currently in development. Stay tuned to keep updated."

Do not rely on the tweet. You're going to dread getting this file over the HTC U11, or hope it somehow shows up in a safe place. Keep checking back here to see when the update is released to your specific version of the game.

Debute chances are HoverStreet will be the one providing discount deals. While that may delay the arrival of the patch, the company's also been found working on unofficial fixes for the game, where the previously-released 1.05 patch doesn't work with NieR: Automata proper.

At the very least, there's promise it'll be here before game reaches its one-month anniversary on January 27. The Nier franchise's got a healthy install base online and in the wild at the moment, but it's hard not to have weird things take over.

What are your thoughts on the patch's arrival? Say what you will about Square Enix's Xbox 360 and PS3 ports, but this is still an incredibly unlikely November release for an already anticipated Japanese RPG.

Environmental activist and Harvard law professor Dr. Vandana Shiva, who demanded Al Gore wear a poppy flag-leaf shirt when he sang Malala Yousafzai's "I am not a terrorist" at the UN Climate Summit on Wednesday, spoke at a rally in Gujarat on Thursday.

The Pakistani Conservative Forum held a protest event to protest the gory treatment meted out to farmers by the Indian government regarding land acquisition policy. Raj Natraj, convener of the Gujarat farmers' associations said, "We will never seek loan or the entire cultivation from India, the government needs to start giving us credit."

Shiva responded to the rally by saying, "We didn't know that over 30 million farmers, mainly small scale traders had burnt their seed packets… On this occasion I wear a poppy leaf. It is a show of solidarity, also a symbol of love and friendship with our farmers that have been burned and humiliated by the Indian state... If you want to kill farmers, we are more than willing to put out more flowers on at your funeral. We don't think of you as terrorists but we also don't want to kill you either,"

Make dholans with only yoghurt? Cheez teh Indian meat sandwich? Locally brewed agave teas? That is not terrorism — Vandana ??? (@vsnale1) September 9, 2015
