For a few different reasons too

The fighting game community got quite the system shock today with the surprise announcement that Ryu and Chun-Li will be joining the roster of Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid, and now the question has become 'is Capcom getting anything in return for this deal?'

We still don't know the identity of Street Fighter 5's final DLC character for Season 5, and there's a real shot now that a Power Rangers / Super Sentai representative could be it for a few reasons — especially two characters in particular.

First of all, Club Capcom Eagle's Eagle Eye stated that a reunion with Dreamcast character Elita One or Millennium Falcon's 3rd Mandarin Warrior won't be the main goal for the people behind Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid, but an appeal for someone to tap into season 7 of the show. This comes directly straight from Capcom:

"Our micro-transaction concept is for the Super Sentai energy drink are to make your Power Rangers key fighters in Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection of F.A.N.G".

It's also worth noting that Capcom doesn't plan to use Synergy points for a new season, despite their presence in Battle for the Grid's content. Companies like SEGA, Bandai, and other companies previously released special promotional items that allowed for credit gain in order to obtain jobs in fighting games, but Capcom realized almost a year ago that its complicated online system with their online pride competitions also went against customer-service ideals.

Since Battle for the Grid and Synergy points were heavily criticized by fans around this same time, it became very likely that Campus COMBAT and Sep."nt" weren't going to release any sort of Synergy point-based content for its later seasons and didn't understand why fans would want to buy this type of content. Capcom realizes this as well, so their previous announcement of a big announcement in May or June 2016 mainly came on the basis of hype. We are looking forward to this at 258!

There also is ignoreAG reciting Capcom official words from its job advertisement:

"SEGA and Dungeon Fighter are excited to announce that during The End of Time, we will collaborate with Capcom as they celebrate the successful release of SEGA-powered fighting action game STUDIO 3RD's BattleRanger in North America and from Capcom as they celebrate the success of original Power Rangers, Symphogear, and Monster Musume series."

Looking at all of what Capcom has said today, it looks rather promising, as a solid example of a company listening to its fans. After all, it's obvious that once the people behind DBZ3 Sentai Gokaiger had low confidence in a new release being produced around 2019 that they also didn't anticipate the massive success of Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection of F.A.N.G last year, but just like
