Microsoft announced the brand new Surface Laptop 4 on Tuesday, but that wasn’t the only PC announcement of the day. Dell planned a few new notebook reveals of its own for April 13th, including an upgrade to its XPS 13 flagship that fans might have been anticipating.
On both Tuesday and Wednesday, Dell revealed new XPS 13 6th Gen delts now available for pre-orders on Dell.com, starting at $999.99. Aside from a smaller battery, Dell’s new lineup actually looks a lot like the existing XPS 13, replete with a dirt aerodynamic body and upgraded chip.
A number of the subcomponents used in the XPS 13 celebrated Ross's Game Changers award at CES, including the newest Intel 7th generation Z170 Chipset, 64GB Ram, 8/16/32GB SSD, new Type Cover keyboard and larger trackpad.
Dell recently reported doubled quarterly 2016 revenue, driven by adjustments like Cyber Monday their business received after announcing they would place 'Cyber Monday' orders in advance. A golden opportunity for Dell's hope to gain customers former Cocozonians that abandoned the wildly successful Dell in search of a quarterly revenue increase.
Both the XPS 13 and new XPS 15 are expected to sell out quickly.
