It would be a bold prediction to suggest that despite their best efforts, the Philadelphia 76ers won't make the playoffs. For starters, they'd wind up much, much worse than the second-worst team in the NBA. More importantly, no team in the league could have beaten the Warriors on its own. The Sixers' record has been just 6-14 against top team since Jan. 26. And, with Cleveland and Golden State losing their ways, the Sixers wouldn't be the only team to miss the playoffs.

The Biggest Grump If the Sixers miss the postseason After six straight losses, head coach Brett Brown took to Twitter Monday night to publicly utter one threat the Trotters haven't heard from coach at the end of most games this season — or at practices this offseason. "#BreakingNewsPhiladelphia is at home tonight vs #Cavaliers NYKnights @NBA," he tweeted in reference to the NHL's Maple Leafs postseason matchup. "I asked the HOF to put us at Indiana," Brown wrote in one tweet accompanied by a video of intro music for Ice Storm. "And they said yes." With just five games left on their schedule, the Sixers are on pace to allow more points than points allowed.

Meanwhile, the Cavaliers and Warriors continued their dominance over their respective conferences. They both own winning records from Dec. 17 to April 21. Sure, each team earned some temporary points from Eastern Conference games, but neither took care of business against the NBA's teams on the perimeter. During Cleveland's 13-0 run, there were 15 losses and another 19 victories. The Warriors, meanwhile, went 7-1 without facing a team with a winning record.
