The Samsung Galaxy S22 likely won’t arrive until next year, but it’s already drawing on one of 2020’s top phones for inspiration — at least according to a new leak.

Galaxy Club reports that the future Samsung flagship may adopt sensor-shift stabilization which should help the upcoming phone improve the photos you shoot with its cameras. This latest addition comes from the now-defunct First4Mobile. PhoneCrush writer Shawn Whang confirms the report, retweeting co-founder Kristian Harloff on the post.

The next Samsung Galaxy S smartphones feature a new sensor-shift technology which won't just solve the constant movement of your phone and lens in your hand ... Samsung appears to have confirmed First4Mobile's theory. According to UEK publicity director Greg Saunders who posted on Twitter, Samsung sees both Glasses Free OSS & Sensiris as a core and can't legally comment on rumored developments until early next year.

While how well Samsung's form the foundation for future features is noteworthy, it will mean significantly reduced storage space — especially for anyone filling their Galaxy S22 with 4K content — so you may have to ditch a microSD card.

In any case, enhancements is certainly something Samsung will be eager to boast about releasing as a stand-alone smartphone — something that does not intuitively connect with its status as the leading smartphone maker in the world.
