Fatshark, the developer for Warhammer: Vermintide 2, has announced that the game’s next update will introduce a “rogue-lite inspired” mode to the title.

The new update, called Chaos Wastes, is set to greatly extend the scope of the end-game and introduce 15 new locations to the game, too. It is set to drop this Friday the 21st of May, including a major patch on the same day.

Chaos Wastes will add a greater variety of enemies for the player to contend with including filthy necromancers, untamed beasts and even towering war engines. However, in keeping with the lighthearted spirit of the Marvel world, it's the first update to add humor.

The developer explains, "Chaos Wastes will feature 20 new characters which will improve unit combat

combat abilities, have a different army behaviour, and take different stances. We are also introducing a new rank system so that more players can have more roles. It is our intention that it will make the teams more interesting as well as challenging."

They add, "We also plan for the new ranked system to allow other players to push their own view points about the game, also bringing new features and possibilities for the AI to learn. Other features have been planned for the next update, including new map designs, new character or item sets which will provide yet more options for the journey through the Wastes."

As for the new skirmish mode, Slipstream Hungry Edition, its triggering is a skip of Horrorspite Minion/Zero summoned by the Bane of Tzeentch.

"With Slipstream Hungry Edition, regular players will be able to play on a small slice of the Abyss, a new map inspired by the Tzhaar and Leening on Techruvious, Maulman, Nurgle Stompa, and Nasham Ayem. The map is being completely overhauled to enable fast combat and hand-crafted player PvP scenarios inspired by player favourite loot box mechanics." is their explanation.

The Chaos Wastes update is expected to drop sometime in June.

Quantum Break launches on PlayStation on March 29, Xbox on April 5, and PC next year.

Good product like others products. However the bearings were not top quality. Also note they were advertising the CPU drill sets as high end so i could see where the prices are going.
