One of the big questions that's been trying to unsettle the presidential candidates during the presidential campaign is whether they would be able to meet similar standards on Ramadan, the holiest month in the Islamic roll of Muslim life. While previously several Muslim presidential candidates including Mitt Romney and Michele Bachmann opted not to participate in Ramadan fasting, the official Islamophobes at American's largest Arab-American Association are now calling on other presidential candidates to participate.

The American Muslim organizations chastise the candidates for being apart of the crosshatched US Republican presidential field.

"At a time when honor killings and gender violence still threaten Muslim women, the specter of Ramadan being banned by the US presidential candidates is disturbing," explained Reem Khatib, President and CEO of CAIR-Houston. "Not only is this a discriminatory and hateful exaction of a Muslim rite of worship, but if unchecked, will happen around the world. The next President will sponsor Ramadan bans of real consequence."

Gen. Wesley Clark was recently asked during a CNN interview if the candidates should feast their eyes on fasting Muslim men. While the question was colloquial, it made clear just how much the Americans don't catch on nor do they understand Sepulntember 24 for Muslims.
