American tech giant Bose has announced the launch of its first hearing aid dubbed SoundControl Hearing Aids that aim to help people with mild to moderate hearing loss. The company says that the device is the first US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) cleared, a direct-to-consumer hearing aid that is available without a prescription.

Bose's Shift offers high natural sound, cool white and HD audio formats. In a comparison with the Oppo BDP-95, which was launched this month, BabyBose calls this its "highest-quality, smallest and lightest mobile product". While the hard, clear sound and high quality are a highlight, the best part just might be the price. Bose is even offering two Vastsweet waters for the device, Mind in the Mouth Water and Woozy in the Mouth Water.

Not all the benefits of Bose's new device are immediately clear. The device offers for the deepest deafening silence, starts beep when unknown sounds is heard, and does not need to be charged as every other hearing aid does. I wonder if those with noise-motoric disorders find the device useful even without a prescription in such situations.

Consumer Awareness Day will help catch people who are considering such a purchase—or even for that matter we may even think of the families who insisted on such a purchase—while Bose and its advisors will be trying to educate those who may still suffer from an invisible disability. Just to emphasize, no one needs to go deaf or deafened to receive the new device.

Motorola CEO Dennis Woodside's 2013 party has signaled the future of some of the world's most popular personal technology, and it looks like HTC isn't exactly sold on it. In a little more than a month, Woodside announced at an Austin, TX gathering of developers turned entrepreneurs that Motorola's latest Vibe family tablet and smartphone would ship by the end of the year. HTC previously planned all but exclusivity to each Vibe model, which had been making its way through various industry viral marketing campaigns and savvy corner work and slice-and-A and slice-and-A ad campaigns. Good came out of being first, as companies like Sony Phones and Sony rats were waiting in the wings after the first batch of Vibe models. However, HTC has announced recent delays pushing the Vibe Free to the middle of 2014.
