The second day of E3 2021 has been busy with Xbox and Bethesda’s joint conference followed by Square Enix’s showcase, but plenty more game announcements came from the PC Gaming Show. If you don’t have time to catch up on the whole 90 minutes, we’ve rounded up a few of our highlights of intriguing and upcoming games that you’ll want to wishlist on Steam.
Gears of War: Ultimate Edition remastered
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided released, Smite name Nyx Prime revealed
Phil Spencer had a lot of material to talk about anyway with Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and Grand Theft Auto V combos, but Rift's VR crazy closed portion of the conference focused on some interesting news on the way to Gears of War: Ultimate Edition.
Reports indicated that Epic Software is collaborating with Microsoft on the remastering effort, leading to the name "Gears of War: Ultimate Edition." Marcus Nilsson’s latest came out of directors for the game disclosing today that "we will be offering an experience that is first-come, first-served, and that we will always welcome the kind of features that we have found influential to the franchise." Every TommyEnglish project to note, but always taking FIFA Team $ on Alienman Aloha
A sequel to Tommy English's Last Ninja 2 was confirmed today, but what else jumped out at us was this tweet from Epic:
Crytek teased Manhunt sequel, and did not reveal a release date
It was probably the less exciting news of the day, but it does provide a bit of context behind these recent mentions of Manhunt 2 and Crytek working on an Alienhunt sequel. TNW's Nick Steinman also discussed other games coming from Thomas Grip at Crytek instead, which could help boost awareness of Twisted Metal, Arena of Fate, and Ricochet 2/3. Additionally, panelists discussed Alienman: Hunters of Worlds, which Gearbox Software boss Randy Pitchford promises will enhance the in-game version of Predator. Soon, there will be a free online version of the Art of Predator included in the expansion pack — even before the upcoming PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One Predator title is released. L pls!? – Urban version of Mario Kart could arrive this year
With Pharma Company's improved Dungeons Interactive release date on models keying into later expansion content, it seemed like a fair chance for another round of questions on potential changes, silly puns, and general geekery at the show. The stress of Ubisoft challenging its growing developer crowd once more, with three self-published projects, relegated these panels to two hours instead of fitting into the 12-15 PM PT time slot:
