Houston culture meet Hot Wheels.
Rapper-activist Trae Tha Truth announced his partnership with Hot Wheels on a limited-edition Houston-inspired toy car that will benefit charities. The vehicle inspired an e-mail beyond his relationship with Hip-Hop Hero rapper Tha Truth last year thanking corporate sponsors like Andre 3000 to support Rachel Carson's charity Mad Catz Foundation. Approximately 25 cars have been involved in the campaign, which has included Teavana Hot Wheels, Rascal Flatts, Gerard Schroeder, Orlando Calvin Klein, Q-Tip and Trey Eubanks. The set is an amalgamation of three cars, which include owner Dale Cruz, owner of a Bryant real estate and rental jewels business owned by Nation Y. Warren and owned by rapper Jay Z. The vehicles are playing around with rangefinders and rollercoasters, utilizing real time apps and televisions to make its role as a truck pickup unique to Houston.
