Opinion The stupid is strong right now. In politics, economics and climate, crass madness is the order of the day. All that matters is whether politicians can be heard and celebrity status fostered from deep in the rabbit hole – to be targeted for ridicule, vilification, inclusion and thematic obsession. Unfortunately, those candidates who inhabit this field are typical parasites, too often pining for autocrats and headstrong elites.
