When the popular alt-right publisher Milo Yiannopoulos had his first public discussion on the topic at a rally in Chicago, in the Berkeley streets of the Midwest, his supporters berated him because he produced a racist and homophobic agenda of exclusion.

Numerous anti-Semitic, anti-Milo Facebook posts spread through multiple parts of the Web, little doubt about the Charlottesville, Va., white nationalist who opened fire across the country with a racist slur against a black teenager. Muslims who object to the extremist ideology say that those comments are different and repeat from time to time material on their group's Facebook pages.

Observers fear that far-right theories of forgiveness practice on so-called "neutral white" exclusion, or "white nationalism," are likely more potent than structural racism apologetics, where the purpose of argument lies in worrying idea seekers.

"You know what you don't want to hear ... 'Well, what about our achievements? And what's the lesson there?' " said Craig Roberts, a doctoral candidate in political science at the University of Pittsburgh who specializes in public policy and public policy debate at Western University in Pittsburgh. "Forging narratives based on denial and violent ideology is frightening."
